When Norse Plays Dead:
What Happens Next

Your Rights Under UK261 (Step‑by‑Step)

1. Gather Your Evidence
• Booking confirmation
• Screenshot of flight delay or cancellation
• All receipts (hotel, meals, transport)
• Any Norse emails or app messages
• A simple timeline of what happened

2. Send the Official UK261 Claim Letter to Norse
• Use the UK261 Claim Form ready-made claim letter
• Fill in your details
• Send it to Norse to create a legal paper trail
• Wait for their response window to expire (usually 30 days)

3. If Norse Does Not Respond
• Silence is extremely common
• Norse often ignores claims even when they are valid
• Their lack of response does NOT weaken your rights

4. Prepare Your UK261 Escalation Packet
• Your original claim letter
• Proof that Norse received it (email timestamp or postal receipt)
• All supporting documents (receipts, screenshots, timeline)
• A short summary of what happened

5. Submit Your Case to the UK261 Enforcement Body
Norse Atlantic is registered with approved UK Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
Send your full UK261 escalation packet to: Email: aviation@cedr.com
Subject line: UK261 Claim – Norse Atlantic – [Flight Number] – [Date]
Attach:

  • Your original UK261 claim letter
  • Proof Norse received it (email timestamp or postal receipt)
  • All receipts, screenshots, and your timeline
  • A short summary of what happened
CEDR will review your evidence and contact Norse directly.
You will receive email notice from CEDR when your claim status changes.

6. What Happens After You Escalate
• Norse can no longer ignore you
• The enforcement body forces a response
• A formal finding can be used for chargebacks or small claims
• Most passengers get resolution at this stage

How Long Before I Get My Money?
Most cases reviewed by CEDR take between 30 and 90 days.
• Some resolve faster if Norse responds quickly
• Some take longer if Norse delays their reply
• You WILL get a decision — the enforcement body does not ignore passengers

What If I Still Don’t Get Paid?
If Norse refuses to comply, the enforcement body will issue a formal finding.
This document is extremely powerful and can be used to force payment.

With the finding, you can:
• File a credit card chargeback
• File a small claims case
• Send the finding back to Norse as leverage

A formal finding is proof that Norse owes you money. Even if Norse plays dead, your rights do not disappear.
